Job Title:
Controls Electrician Job Description We are seeking a skilled Controls Electrician with extensive knowledge in PLC systems, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and automated machinery troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in maintaining and upgrading plant electrical equipment, as well as assisting in non-electrical equipment repairs when needed. Responsibilities Utilize PLC knowledge, including Studio 5000, Simatic Manager, and Tia Portal. Experience with VFDs (variable frequency drives). Perform computer-based troubleshooting, such as PLC issues. Contact technical support, including Fanuc Robotics, when necessary. Troubleshoot and repair robotics systems. Operate automated machinery to test for malfunctions and verify repairs. Adhere to the National Electric Code (NEC). Use multi meters and hand tools for various tasks. Communicate clearly with management and fellow team members. Perform preventive maintenance in a timely manner. Be available for work during unforeseen breakdowns. Stand, stoop, bend, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills Knowledge of PLC systems such as Studio 5000, Simatic Manager, and Tia Portal. Experience with VFDs (variable frequency drives). Proficiency in computer-based troubleshooting, including PLC systems. Ability to contact and communicate with technical support, such as Fanuc Robotics. Experience in troubleshooting and repairing robotics systems. Understanding of the National Electric Code (NEC). Proficiency in using multi meters and hand tools. Ability to perform preventive maintenance. Additional Skills & Qualifications Mechanical skills. Wiring knowledge. Hydraulics experience.
