This Position is primarily loactaed in Morehead City, North Carolina •$1,000 Sign-On Bonus• What you will do: The role is primarily Morehead City, but will be required to travel to Aurora and there will be travel compensation. Troubleshoot, repair, modify, install, operateand performroutine, preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical, electronic, pneumatic, digital, mechanical devices and control systems
Troubleshootand repairelectrical systems, motors, and control equipment as needed
Performelectrical PM’s on both single and three phase equipment on a monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual basis
Maintainand updateelectrical prints when changes are made as well as maintain an activity log of completed electrical work
Operateequipment in the loading/unloading of barges, vessels, rail cars, and trucks
Identifyand maintaina log of safety equipment testing dates for high voltage safety apparel and electrical safety tools
Worksafely to prevent on-the-job injuries by following Nutrien, OSHA, MSHA and MARSEC guidelines
Conductperiodic inspections, maintainand operateequipment systems in a safe and environmentally responsible manner
Useproper Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, ear plugs, face shield and flash suits
Participatein the Nutrien permitting process by properly completing all necessary permits, such as Lockout/Tagout, Hot Work, Confined Space and Safe Work
Operatethe loading/unloading equipment at the facility: Bucket wheel

Ship loader Ensureconsumable supplies are used in the most cost-effective manner during repair activities
Performhousekeeping duties of an assigned area by cleaning area prior to job completion, turning in completed paperwork indicating area is clean
Determinethe tools necessary to complete daily tasks, follow up on job package and review changes with supervisor
Conductdaily inspections of mobile equipment by using the mobile equipment checklist before using the equipment
Updatejob packages by documenting any changes to the job package and reviewing with supervisor What you will bring: The National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) testing is required for all hourly applicants of Nutrien. Applicants must complete this test and meet a minimum of 5 in Workplace Documents, 5 on Applied Mathematics and 4 on Graphic Literacy to be considered eligible for employment with Nutrien.
~2 years’ experience minimum
High School diploma or equivalent is preferred
Relevant vocational training and/or successful completion of apprenticeship as an Electrician preferred
Experience in industrial and/or commercial electrical systems
Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations/guidelines
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Compensation & Benefits:
Starting rate $31.48 – 48.02 per hour (plus available overtime). Nutrien offers a skills-based pay compensation program. Hourly rates can progresses based on On-Job-Training, formal learning, and observation of new skills. Hourly rates can progress from starting rate of $31.48 to $48.02 per hour over a specified time period.
