Shift:
7am-7pm and 7pm-7am (both shifts available andinclude rotating weekends)
Pay:
$33.75/hr SUMMARY Performs routineand extensive preventative maintenance and repair procedures onelectrical and mechanical systems involving production equipmentand plant systems, including the plant’s main power supply system.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
: Performs skilled andsemi-skilled maintenance activities depending upon area ofassignment including performing basic trade activities such aselectrical, plumbing and carpentry work. Performs minor and majorrepair of all buildings and equipment. Repairs electricalequipment/systems and control circuits; and replaces faultyelectrical equipment as needed. This troubleshooting element isinclusive of Three Phase Motors and Programmable Logical Controls(PLC) applications. Must have a strong working knowledge of relaylogic and be capable of applying this knowledge in thetroubleshooting of the PLC’s in the production equipment. Must havea strong understanding of
NFPA 70E
standards and be capable ofapplying these standards in the work situation. Installs electricalwiring and equipment; new electrical services; and replaces andrepairs wiring as needed (including computer cable). Consults withMaintenance Manager, as needed, on electrical system issues; and,as assigned, serves in a project coordination role monitoring theactivities of outside contractors. Maintains and repairs a varietyof hand and power tools ensuing they are in safe and efficientworking order. Performs preventive maintenance procedures onmechanical equipment on a scheduled basis; inspects belts, checksfluid levels, replaces filters, greases bearings, seals, etc.;repairs or replaces broken parts. May operate a computer whichcontrols and monitors mechanical equipment and utility systems.
Calibrates and repairs pneumatic systems and other mechanicalsystems on production equipment to assure optimum performance ofthat production process. Completes daily, weekly and monthlychecklists on building equipment maintenance procedures andmaintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures. Maintainsrecords of scheduled maintenance procedures, records work completedusing JD Edwards software and maintains revision control ofprograms and associated documentation. Performs other duties asassigned by the Maintenance Manager or another member of theleadership team. Will be required to program drives from multiplemanufacturers – ABB, Eurotherm, Allen-Bradley, Siemens, RSLogixtraining.
Connects to PLC’s, reviews and debugs code, usually withthe assistance of OEM. Candidate must obtain a boiler license within a 12 month period.
Preferred qualifications:
Master’selectrician license, Industrial maintenan ce associate degree orcertification. Candidates are required to undergo a drug screeningafter receiving a conditional job offer, but before startingemployment.
