This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the electrical field, particularly in both low and high voltage systems. As an Electrician Assistant, you will work closely with licensed electricians on various projects, primarily in commercial settings. Your contributions will be essential in ensuring that electrical installations and repairs are completed safely and efficiently. Duties Assist electricians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment. Work on construction sites to support electrical projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various tasks, including wiring and circuit assembly. Conduct tests using an ohmmeter and other diagnostic tools to troubleshoot electrical issues. Follow the National Electrical Code (NEC) guidelines to ensure all work meets regulatory standards. Participate in frame carpentry tasks as needed to support electrical installations. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and materials are stored properly. Experience Previous experience or training in electrical work is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential. Familiarity with low voltage and high voltage systems is a plus. Experience working on construction sites is beneficial. Basic understanding of electrical principles and safety practices. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools related to electrical work.
