$32.77/hr SUMMARY Performs routineand extensive preventative maintenance and repair procedures onelectrical and mechanical systems involving production equipmentand plant systems, including the plant’s main power supplysystem.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs skilled and semi-skilled maintenance activitiesdepending upon area of assignment including performing basic tradeactivities such as electrical, plumbing and carpentry work. Performs minor and major repair of all buildings andequipment. Repairs electrical equipment/systems and control circuits; andreplaces faulty electrical equipment as needed. Thistroubleshooting element is inclusive of Three Phase Motors andProgrammable Logical Controls (PLC) applications. Must have a strong working knowledge of relay logic and becapable of applying this knowledge in the troubleshooting of thePLC’s in the production equipment. Must have a strong understanding of
NFPA 70E
standards and becapable of applying these standards in the work situation. Installs electrical wiring and equipment; new electrical services;and replaces and repairs wiring as needed (including computercable). Consults with Maintenance Manager, as needed, on electricalsystem issues; and, as assigned, serves in a project coordinationrole monitoring the activities of outside contractors. Maintains and repairs a variety of hand and power tools ensuingthey are in safe and efficient working order. Performs preventive maintenance procedures on mechanicalequipment on a scheduled basis; inspects belts, checks fluidlevels, replaces filters, greases bearings, seals, etc.; repairs orreplaces broken parts. May operate a computer which controls and monitors mechanicalequipment and utility systems. Calibrates and repairs pneumatic systems and other mechanicalsystems on production equipment to assure optimum performance ofthat production process. Completes daily, weekly and monthly checklists on buildingequipment maintenance procedures and maintains records of scheduledmaintenance procedures. Maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures, recordswork completed using JD Edwards software and maintains revisioncontrol of programs and associated documentation. Performs other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager oranother member of the leadership team. Will be required to program drives from multiple manufacturers- ABB, Eurotherm, Allen-Bradley, Siemens, RSLogix training.
Connectsto PLC’s, reviews and debugs code, usually with the assistance ofOEM. Candidate must obtain a boiler license with in a 12 monthperiod.
Preferred qualifications:
Master’s electrician license,Industrial maintenan ce associate degree or certification.
