Job Summary:

Maintenance Technicians will safely and effectively perform general maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment and facilities at the Roseburg Roanoke Valley Lumber mill site.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Work safely and effectively in a team environment Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs or adjustments to improve operation Assist with planning repair work using drawings, equipment manuals or field research Performs precision repairs on mill equipment. Performs preventive maintenance inspections and activities (lubrication and preventive maintenance plans) on mill equipment and building systems as required to ensure reliability of the operation Cleans and assists with upkeep of the mill facility Performs other related duties as assigned

Adheres to attendance guidelines Ability and willingness to cross-train into new jobs and skills Ability and willingness to be forklift trained Ability to work all available shifts Ability to follow instructions and interpret drawings Knowledge of maintenance practices repair Ability to use hand tools and power tools Excellent organizational and time management skills Excellent communication skills

Required Basic Knowledge:

(Either Mechanical or Electrical) Power distribution Electric Motors Motor starter basics Using a multi-meter Electrical testing equipment Wire, conduit and cable trey installation Tubing bending and installation Electrical safe work practices Bearings Hydraulics and lubrication Fabrication/welding techniques Belt conveyors / chain conveyors Power transmission Rigging and inspections

Preferred Skills/Abilities:

Knowledge of a CMMS Knowledge of Precision Maintenance techniques, mechanical and / or electrical and instrumentation

Education and Experience:

4-8 years’ experience or Level 1 skills High school diploma or GED Related experience preferred

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of standing and walking Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
