Essential Functions Interprets technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical systems. Diagnoses and troubleshoots faulty wiring. Runs tests on generators and other backup systems. Checks for and deploy upgrades of electrical components. Documents problems and prepares reports. Facilitates order of needed electrical components. Read and interpret electrical blueprints. Use a variety of tools and techniques to repair and maintain electrical systems. Use your knowledge to determine the best way to install new electrical systems. Answer any questions that our customers may have about their electrical systems and components. Ensure that you follow all safety requirements and OSHA guidelines while you work. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver’s license Formal electrician training Ability to use a wide variety of electrician tools and techniques. Ability to interpret electrical blueprints and schematics. Relevant hands-on experience preferred. Electrician license or certification In-depth knowledge of electrical principles, construction, wiring schematics Deep understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other safety standards Strong analytical and organizational skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Five years experience in electrical field Physical and Mental Demands Use their hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Stand for long periods of time. Repeat the same movements. Walk or run for long periods of time. Climb ladders, scaffolds, or poles. Keep or regain their balance. Kneel, stoop, crouch, or crawl.
