JOB SUMMARY :
Multi-skilled technician responsible for proactively maintaining equipment, diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues on all production-related machinery. Perform scheduled preventative maintenance to reduce unplanned downtime, increase asset utilization, and support the development of operators’ technical skills.
PRIMARY RESPONSBILITIES
o Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production equipment o Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic problems o Participate in the installation, commissioning, and optimization of new equipment o Work closely with the production team to ensure proper equipment operation o Document all interventions in the maintenance management system o Read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals o Comply with health and safety standards in all tasks
HEALTH & SAFETY
: o Know and apply workplace health and safety procedures for all machines and the plant. o Work safely and adhere to required standards. o Use appropriate personal and team safety equipment. o Immediately report all workplace incidents or accidents, no matter how minor, to a supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS
o 2 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (ideally in the paper industry or heavy industrial sector) o Solid knowledge of industrial electricity, mechanics, hydraulics, and pneumatics o Ability to quickly diagnose complex breakdowns o Basic knowledge of automation (an asset) o Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics o Fast learner with excellent physical stamina.
