28/hr. on W2 Job Summary The Electrical Maintenance Technician will perform repairs and maintenance across the plant site, including lighting, conduit, electrical, and pneumatic equipment. This role ensures all work is performed in compliance with site Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and National Electrical Code (NEC) guidelines. Essential Functions Repair electrical conduits, wiring, and receptacles. Troubleshoot and repair lighting systems (lamps and ballasts) in office and plant areas. Repair pneumatic lines and fittings. Communicate and coordinate with vendors as required; requisition materials as needed. Accurately document all work performed in accordance with SOPs and NEC. Execute repairs and modifications as directed by the I&E Supervisor or plant management. Keep the I&E Supervisor informed of job progress and issues. Adhere to and support site safety programs. Maintain cleanliness and organization in both the shop and job site. Wear and properly use all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as full-face respirator, hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, goggles, chemical-resistant suits/aprons, gloves, boots, and steel-toe shoes. Department-Specific / Non-Essential Functions Perform other duties as assigned, with or without accommodation. Independently recognize problems and troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment. Minimum Requirements High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. Proficient with tools and test equipment for electrical installation and troubleshooting. Ability to read and understand blueprints, electrical schematics, and engineering specifications. Competent in shop math and written instructions. Strong understanding of electricity and strict adherence to safety standards.
Familiarity with:
National Electrical Code (NEC)
NFPA 70E
Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) Experience working with voltages up to 480V. Strong skills in problem-solving, interpersonal communication, and ability to learn quickly.
Relationships / Scope
Works under the supervision of the I&E Supervisor. Uses a wide variety of tools, test instruments, and shop equipment daily. May occasionally transport tools to plant work areas. Responsible for safety implications of all maintenance tasks. Must understand the impact of improper equipment use on plant safety and operations. Working Conditions Work occurs in all plant areas, both indoors and outdoors. Potential exposure to high temperatures, chemicals, fumes, oil, grease, and noise. Risk of injury from chemical spills/leaks or improper equipment use. Exposure to hazards such as sharp edges, pinch points, burns, and electrical dangers. Routine lifting of objects up to 50 pounds. May be required to climb stairs, bend conduit, disassemble lights, and perform other physical tasks.
