This position will report directly to one of theNashua NHQ Facilities Plant Engineering Supervisors and will havedirect responsibility to service, maintain and install a widevariety of electrical systems. This position will also requirelocal coordination and oversight of electrical contractors duringconstruction and maintenance projects. The main campus consists ofmanufacturing, engineering and support functions totaling over500,000 square feet with 2000 employees. The selected candidatemust have strong communication skills, be self-motivated andcapable of working in a collaborative team environment
- Interfaces with design engineers, internal customers, and servicetechnicians to install, modify, and enhance operations ofequipment/building systems/spaces, and complete constructionprojects. May be required to work with or direct contractorpersonnel when performing these tasks
- Installs, troubleshoots,and maintains complex electrical equipment including but notlimited to: VFD’s, chillers, boilers, HVAC equipment and controls,site power distribution systems, 400 cycle power generators andsystems, and specialty power equipment
- Determines electricaldistribution system requirements, calculates circuit sizingrequired to support equipment, rearrangements, and provides theelectrical service.
Installs grounding systems as required.
Installs modifications and interconnections to existing equipmentcontrols as required
- Determines routing locations and methodsfor installing power panels, circuits, conduits, wires, electricalequipment, fixtures, controls, and accessories
- Selects andorders materials from suppliers in alignment with internalelectrical specifications/recommends substitutes when items are notavailable or when economically practical
- Performs preventativemaintenance, repairs and calibration of industrial/commercialequipment and building systems to minimize down time andunscheduled outages. Inspects and checks circuits for continuityand proper functioning. Recommends better utilization andmaintenance of plant/building equipment/systems to avoid orminimize unscheduled outages
- Repairs and rebuilds defective,damaged, or inoperative electrical equipment and components.
Isolates source of difficulty and installs temporary hook-ups asrequired to minimize down time
- Performs all duties inaccordance with applicable State, Federal and Local codes andordinances, and established trade practices. Complies with and isproficient in all safety codes and regulations such as: NEC, NFPA,and OSHA
- Plans and lays out new jobs and renovates/altersexisting equipment to assure project installations are correct andcomplete for proper operation. Responsible for ensuring all workperformed and completed as specified by contract, engineeringdrawings & specifications and applicable codes
- May be requiredto participate on special teams: snow removal, emergency response,carry an on-call phone etc. and respond to off hour emergencycall-ins
- Coordinates and works with contractors to maintain allaspects of the facility operation as needed
- Responsible tomaintain a safe and clean work environment to include tools,equipment, and facility stock areas
- Performs other duties andresponsibilities as required.
Because of the need for consistent,in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all workonsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will beperformed full-time on site.
This means work will be conducted onlocation at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.
RequiredEducation, Experience, & Skills Requires a High School diploma New Hampshire Journeyman Electrician’s License and at least 4years of commercial/industrial experience in the electricaltrade Basic computer skills to maintain site reports, spreadsheets,preventative maintenance logs, and operate within a computerizedmaintenance work order system.
Preferred Education, Experience, &Skills Experience with boilers and boiler room support equipment andcontrols, chillers, air compressors, test chambers, HVAC controls,emergency power systems, fire alarm/suppression systems, securitysystems, motors and motor controls, and other relatedequipment/systems. Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance level.

This range is based on our market pay structures. However,individual salaries are determined by a variety of factorsincluding, but not limited to: business considerations, localmarket conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidatequalifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
