SUMMARY Tri-Arc Manufacturing is currently seeking an experienced, 1st shift (6:00 am to 2:30 pm, M-F) Maintenance Technician for our plant located in Blawnox, PA. Tri-Arc Manufacturing offers a competitive starting rate along with a generous benefit package and the opportunity to join the United Steelworkers Union (USW) after a probationary period. This person is a self-starter, can work independently with minimal supervision and will have 1-3 years’ experience in a maintenance repair role, with 1-2 years electrical experience, along with mechanical and machinery knowledge. All qualified candidates are required to participate in and pass a maintenance aptitude test . ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

(other duties may be assigned) Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment as needed Regularly inspects and maintains machinery and equipment to prevent breaks downs or malfunction; diagnoses an repairs machinery such industrial saws, press machines and punch machines Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts. Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery. Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring and electrical components of machinery and equipment. Understand the difference between three phase and single-phase alternating current. Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment. Ability to work on electrically powered hand tools like grinders, drills etc. Basic knowledge working with 480 volts 3 phase and other electrical schematics. Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment. Installs, programs, or repairs automated machinery and equipment or programmable controllers. Set up and operate machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs and fixtures, and tools. Operates cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts. Operate, repair and maintain overhead cranes, fork trucks and prime mover. Operate overhead crane and forklift experience helpful, but not required.
