Electrical Technician – 1st Shift – R8714
DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions2. Work with production personnel to troubleshoot mechanical or electrical issues 3. Work in conjunction with outside contractors and/or vendors as well as OEM’s to troubleshoot and make repairs to plant equipment4. Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments5. Wire and install AC/DC motors, drives, racks and motion control equipment6. Perform electrical trouble shooting using the proper tools and PPE7. Control downtime by performing routine preventive maintenance techniques8. Fabricate repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment9. Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs10. Use computer system to document work and account for parts11. Communicate with the team using verbal, written or electronic communication including phone, email, radio, or other12. Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations13. P articipate on Emergency Response Team (required)14. Perform other duties as assigned by management /supervisors . S et up and operate all shop equipment15. Work in a safe and efficient manner using all personal protective and safety equipment and devices that are required , and comply with company safety policies and procedures16. I dentify and eliminate work hazards17. Know proper lock-out/tag out minor servicing procedures18. Conduct safe and proper clean up procedures19.
