Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Work safely while performing new construction, maintenance, or repair work of utility-owned streetlights. Capable of receiving and following directions Identify primary and secondary voltage on a circuit Support safety initiatives using personal protective equipment Ability to setup work zone according to DOT standards Understands minimum approach distance, excavation, and shoring Basic understanding of tools and materials used in line work These duties and responsibilities are not all-inclusive and may change to meet the priorities and ongoing needs of the company.

Qualifications and Requirements:

To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Understands equipment and work site set up and grounding Accurately perform basic math calculations to include addition, subtraction, fractions, decimals, multiplication, division, and the use of measurements Proficiency in critical thinking, trouble shooting, and problem resolution Ability to communicate effectively (written, verbal and nonverbal) Requires self-motivation, organization, and prioritization management High School Diploma or equivalent CDL A (preferred) or the ability to obtain

In performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
