Electrical Maintenance Technician Zapp Precision Wire Summerville, SC 29483 Join the Zapp Precision Wire team as an Electrical Maintenance Technician in Summerville, SC! Are you a hands-on technician with a passion for keeping things running smoothly? Do you thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy solving complex electrical challenges? We’re looking for an Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team and help ensure our production and facility equipment operates at peak performance. This 2nd shift position (2 pm – 10 pm) offers a competitive salary (hourly rate + shift premium) and a generous benefits package beginning on your first day! [ You will train for approximately 12 weeks on first shift (6 am – 2 pm) before moving to second shift.]

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain production and facility equipment according to safety and production requirements. Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot equipment breakdowns. Diagnose and repair electrical systems (24VDC to 480VAC systems, PLCs, motors, VFDs, transformers, controls, etc.). Conduct regular machine assessments and develop solutions for equipment issues. Use hand tools, power tools, multimeters, and other diagnostic equipment to perform maintenance and repairs. Read and interpret electrical schematics and equipment manuals. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following 5S principles. Collaborate with team members, vendors, and contractors to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications:

Associate degree in electrical industrial maintenance. 3+ years of experience as a Maintenance Electrician, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment with automated equipment. Strong industrial electrical knowledge and mechanical aptitude. Ability to interpret machine prints and wiring diagrams. Proficiency in using hand/power tools, meters, and material handling equipment. Basic computer skills (MS Office, network troubleshooting, PLC programming software). Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with automation systems and various types of equipment controllers, such as Siemens
