Compensation:
$31.25 per hour The main function of an electrician is to install, maintain, andrepair electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures. A typicalelectrician is responsible for inspecting, testing, maintaining orrepairing electrical equipment.
Job Responsibilities:
Measure, cut, and bend wired and conduit,using measuring instruments and hand tools. Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment and keep parts and suppliesin order. Perform semi-skilled and unskilled laboring duties related to theinstallation, maintenance and repair of a wide variety ofelectrical systems and equipment. Disassemble defective electrical equipment, replace defective orworn parts, and reassemble equipment, using hand tools. Examine electrical units for loose connections and brokeninsulation and tighten connections, using hand tools.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.
Technical degree or certification preferred. 5-10 years in building/equipment maintenance with experience inmechanical and electrical systems Basic maintenance skills, light plumbing, electrical, generalcarpentry, ability to operate HVAC controls Emergency Generators Emergency Lighting 07 Electrical License required Basic knowledge of design techniques, tools and principles involvedin production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawingsand models. Interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and problem solvingskills. Basic ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
