Position Description
Advertised Job Summary The Electrician is responsible for the installation, programming, troubleshooting, repair and maintaining of all electrical, electronic and mechanicalponents for electrical distribution equipment, breakers, panels, motors; HVAC controls and access and locking systems, security cameras, recorders and network devices. Provides technical coordination and client liaison in the implementation of major and minor repairs/projects for electrical distribution, security and security surveillance system upgrades. Working with customers oversees small internal and external projects. Provides technical guidance, oversight and leadership to lower-level technical staff and contractors. This position will be required to perform on-call rotation and provide technical callback assistance. This position has been designated as essential personnel during inclement/hazardous weather and other emergencies.

Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience Requires job related accreditation from a technical school or an applicable skilled trades program and 3 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalentbination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.
Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials Valid Driver’s License
Preferred Qualifications 5 years experience in the electrical trade. Trade School or Apprenticeship preferred. Electrical License in the State of South Carolina. Working knowledge of tools and specialized equipment used in the electrical trade.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Knowledgeable of electronic systems. Ability to understand and follow written work orders and oral instructions. Ability to react positively to emergency situations. Ability to instruct crew members. Ability to read wiring schematics.
