    Under limited supervision, perform skilled electrical work in the operation, repair and renovation of buildings, equipment, and interior/exterior lighting.

Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience Requires accreditation from a technical school or an applicable skilled trades program and no prior work experience, which may be substituted by an equivalentbination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.
Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials Valid driver’s license, good driving record.
Preferred Qualifications High school diploma and 2 years of experience. Prefer experience including Fire Alarm Systems and/or one year of technical training in electrical trade. Familiar with most current National Electric Code and National Fire Protection Association code.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Pre-employment drug screen and successful background check are required. Thorough knowledge of tools, equipment and materials used in general building maintenance and construction trades applicable to the job, especially electrical. Thorough knowledge of techniques methods, and practices of designated trades. Skill in use of tools and equipment. Ability to read, understand and interpret plans and specifications. Ability to work independently.

Job Duty Troubleshoot:

Repair, operate, and perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems, lighting, panels, motors and starter controls, variable speed drives, emergency equipment as rmend by the manufacturer, required by regulatory agencies and deemed necessary from experience.

Job Duty Install conduit, wiring, cable, receptacles, light fixtures and related items for building renovation and repair projects, includingputer-related support.

Job Duty Performs/troubleshoots for assigned fire alarm issues: Fire alarm control panels, annunciator panels, devices (smoke, heat, strobe/audio) for proper operation inpliance with NEC and NFPA codes.

Job Duty Performs/troubleshoots for assigned Emergency Power issues: Generators, lighting, egress lights and other emergency power systems.

Job Duty Cross trains in other areas; primarily to assist plumber with trouble shooting plumbing system: Pumps, backflow preventers, and plumbing systems. Develop knowledge that support each others functions (electrical functions in plumbing and vise versa).
