Electrical Helper Southeastern Utility Contractors LLC South Carolina Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Helper to join our dynamic team. Duties Assist electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment. Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements. Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete tasks. Help with low voltage and high voltage wiring installations. Perform basic troubleshooting using voltmeters and ohmmeters to diagnose electrical issues. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored. Follow all safety protocols and adhere to the National Electrical Code (NEC) standards during all work activities. Support frame carpentry tasks as needed to facilitate electrical installations. Experience Familiarity with NEC guidelines is preferred. Basic understanding of electrical schematics and blueprints is advantageous. Experience working with low voltage systems is a plus; high voltage experience is also beneficial. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, voltmeters, and ohmmeters is required. Previous experience in construction or a related field is helpful but not mandatory; we welcome candidates eager to learn. A strong willingness to learn from experienced electricians and take on new challenges in the electrical trade. •Perform electrical installations, including cutting, bending, threading, and running electrical conduit materials. Conduit materials to include RMC, EMT, and PVC. Pull electrical wiring and/or fiber through electrical conduit Terminate electrical panels, set fixtures, outlets, and various electrical devices Install and connect wires to circuit breakers You must be able to work indoors and outdoors, including times of inclement weather You will be required to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, twist, and bend for extended periods travel 90%, housing and perdiem included Contract work, 1099 5 years recent experience performing electrical installations in a industrial/commercial setting Ability to pass a background check Familiarity with the most NEC codes Own your own hand tools Join us as an Electrical Helper, where you can develop your skills while contributing to exciting projects within our team!
