Job Duties:

Duties may include, but are not limited to thefollowing: Effectively and safely operates standard maintenancetools such as power tools, basic hand tools. Electrical knowledgeand troubleshooting. Strong electrical control circuitstroubleshooting experience. Welding and Fabricationexperience/skills. Perform preventative maintenance from daily upto Annual PMs. Read and understand mechanical and electricalschematics. Complete minor troubleshooting of mechanical andelectrical related issues without direct supervision. Maintain workarea and equipment by compliance with the established 5s Standards.

Follow prescribed safety rules and regulation as well as otherdepartmental policies and procedures. Help to develop proper safetytechniques. Detect, document, report and repair improper machineoperation and faulty equipment. Diversified skills that will allowassignments to be given in any work areas as required. Understand,certify in and comply with our LOTO program. Effectively informthrough written communication daily pass-downs issues and actions.

Read and understand mechanical and electrical schematics withoutissue. Provide leadership, training and direction when necessary toOperations. Comfortable with speaking to a machine service engineerto gather information, report unusual issues and problems forresolution.

Required Competencies & Knowledge:

Knowledge of:

Standard practices in maintenance and repair of mechanical andelectrical components. Extensive knowledge of hydraulic,mechanical, and electrical systems. Knowledge of programmablecontrollers and their software’s.

Skill in:

Problem solving usingdefined methodologies. Organization and time management. Hydraulicand pneumatic control systems. Welding and Fabrication. AC and DCcontrol wiring.

Ability to:

Basic PLC operation and understandingof programs. Pneumatic, hydraulic system repairs. Communicateeffectively both verbally and written. Ensure collaborativerelationships with CI staff. Issue and receive instructions usingknown guidelines. Lead ‘best in class’ behaviors with focus onsafety, quality, and policies.

Intermediate in:

MS Office, Outlook,SharePoint and CMMS system(s)

Work Environment:

Work is primarilydone in a food ingredient blending facility. Frequent productionenvironment exposure which includes noise, dust, moving machinery,fork lifts, and fluctuations in temperature.

Physical Requirements:

Sitting at a work station for short periods of time. Frequent linecalls throughout the building requiring immediate response. Stand,walk, climb stairs and ladders on a frequent basis. Must be able tolift 50 pounds on an infrequent basis. Ability to monitor andrespond to radio calls from Operations.
