Industrial Electrical Technician Charter Construction 4504 Kentucky Avenue, Nashville, TN 37209 Description Charter Construction is a full-package concrete contractor that operates primarily in Middle Tennessee, working on a large variety of concrete-framed commercial structures. Charter is currently seeking a highly skilled Industrial Electrical Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining industrial electrical motors and equipment. This role will involve working with a variety of machinery and electrical systems in an industrial setting, requiring strong troubleshooting abilities and a commitment to safety and efficiency. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and inspections on industrial electrical motors, equipment, and systems. Diagnose electrical issues using schematics, diagrams, and testing equipment. Repair or replace faulty components, such as motors, switches, relays, and wiring. Install new electrical systems and equipment as needed, ensuring compliance with codes and regulations. Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to develop solutions for complex electrical problems. Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and optimize performance. Keep detailed records of maintenance and repair work performed. Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment. Travel to jobsites that are mainly located in Nashville, 50% of the time. Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong understanding of electrical systems, including motors, generators, transformers, and control systems. Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and diagrams. Familiarity with electrical testing equipment, such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and insulation testers. Commitment to safety and adherence to all relevant regulations and standards.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree preferred. Proven experience as an industrial electrical technician or similar role for at least 5 years. Prior experience with concrete pumping equipment is preferred.
