All about the role:
The Facilities Technician III will be responsible for supporting facilities initiatives. Must be flexible in working day to day assignments to support the needs of the facilities. Be the leader for facility related projects to include trouble shooting, installation and repair. Support all projects as assigned. Take the initiative to identify and lead improvement opportunities. Perform all jobs safely, efficiently, and accurately to maintain and improve the performance of the entire plant in the areas of Safety, Quality, Reliability. Where you’ll be: Based in the manufacturing plant located in Springfield, TN. What you’ll do: Report any unsafe condition or act immediately to supervision or EHS team member. Understand company safety. Initiates and acts as facilitator on the floor to promote those initiatives. Responsible for housekeeping and 5S in his or her respective area of work or areas as directed by the departmental supervisor. Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines. Read and interpret equipment manuals blueprints and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Complies with all OSHA safety and health regulations.
Qualifications:
3+ year of experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics, plumbing and basic electrical repair. Highschool degree. EPA certification desired. Must possess an understanding of electronic and mechanical components to troubleshoot and repair. Experience in Microsoft Office and Industrial electrical experience up to 480V circuits is a plus.
Physical Demand:
The physical demands described here are representative, but not limited to, of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position is very active and requires frequent (4 to 12 hours) standing, walking, bending, kneeling. The employee must be able to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds with assistance. Lifting shoulder high up to 35 lbs. Ability to climb stairs and ladders, bend to 90 degrees repeatedly. Ability to work in unusual or extreme elements, such as extreme temperatures. Ability to work safely from a ladder. Ability to operate a scissor lift, boom, and bucket lift and work at heights of up to 60 feet.
