POSITION SUMMARY

The Resort Journeyman Electricianis responsible for maintaining the electrical systems and subsystems for the resort. This includes identifying potentialelectrical hazards and recommending corrective actions to ensurethe safe operation of electrical systems. The Resort JourneymanElectrician works directly with the Senior/Master Electrician toprevent and solve electrical issues. This is a full-time year-roundbenefit eligible position. The pay range for this role is$30-$35/hr based upon experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Respond to workorders as they come in through the maintenance system Work onpreventive maintenance tasks Troubleshoot electrical systemsProvide corrective action plans to resolve issues Supportsnowmaking operation by offering preventative maintenance in thepump houses and with any associated snowmaking equipment Respond toafter hour’s maintenance calls as needed Make critical decisions ina timely manner that will have as little impact on the guestexperience as possible Make phone calls to management in a timelymanner to minimize down time Follow all safety policies and wearall prescribed

PPE EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Education:
High School Diploma, GED Certificate or Vocational School DiplomaPreferred Education:

Technical Diploma, Associate Degree or twoyears college course work Vermont State electrical apprenticeshipcertificate Must possess a valid Vermont State JourneymenElectricians license or be able to obtain licensure within one yearfrom date of hire

Work Experience:

Two to four years job relatedexperience .

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITYREQUIREMENTS

Know and understand the National Electrical Code (NEC)Must be able to work with team members or independently Must be ateam player Experience with Microsoft word and excel Must be ableto read and intemperate blueprints and schematics Must have anunderstanding of electrical symbols and ladder logic Experiencewith PLC’s preferred but not required Experience with hydraulic andpneumatic systems Must be able to communicate clearly andeffectively

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Minimal travel required

This position may be required towork evenings, weekends and holidays

Mountain Environment:

Theprimary physical environment in which this position works is out ofdoors with a high exposure level to cold, snow, wind, rain, bugs,sun, high altitude, extreme heights, lightning, etc The degree ofstrenuous activity within the job is considered to be high. Oftenlifting a weight of 50 pounds throughout the day is common.

Additional strenuous physical activity may include walking orhiking upon uneven, challenging terrain with heavy tools orequipment.

Exposure to:

Chemicals required for cleaning,de-greasing, and painting. Fumes produced in activities rangingfrom cleaning to painting to fabrication of metal products. Noisegenerated by snowmobiles, lift equipment, and tools may requirehearing protection to be worn. Talking and hearing occurcontinuously in the process of communicating with guests,supervisors and other employees. Vision occurs continuously withthe most common visual functions being those of near vision anddepth perception. To perform this job successfully, an individualmust be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily-reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualifiedindividuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
