We are looking for individuals that are ready to be their own boss and transition into a sub-contractor role after learning how to complete jobs to our standards with a few weeks of on the job training. The ideal candidate must be willing and able to transition to a 1099 position as a Drop Bury Tech when training is complete. At that time you will need your own work truck or van, ability to insure yourself/company with general liability and commercial auto insurance. You will need a valid license and clean driving record to obtain this. We can and will assist the right candidates with tooling and getting started as a contractor. This can be a life changing opportunity with rapid advancement and higher earnings for the right candidates. Responsibilities Assist in hand digging micro trenches to bury cable lines. Locate utilities and cable lines within the work area. Locate an clear conduits under hardscapes. Support Drop Bury Technicians with tools and materials for boring operations and burying cables. Utilize basic hand tools for digging and trenching to bury fiber and cable drops. Maintain a clean and organized work area on site to promote safety and efficiency. Restoring properties to original condition after work is complete. Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while adhering to quality standards. Skills Minimal skills required, you bring the right attitude and we’ll teach you the rest. Ability to complete an 8 hour shift working outdoors in the heat while performing labor tasks. Ability to follow directions and learn to complete simple tasks quickly. Commitment to safety practices on the job site. Excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues. General knowledge and understanding of how underground utilities are laid out and routed including; electric, water, gas, irrigation and telecom is a big plus. Bilingual is a plus but not required.
