ROLE SUMMARY
This is an entry level role where the Helper assists Journeymen in the layout, assembly, or installation of accessories and equipment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Sorting out material. Assembling and sealing ductwork on the floor. Assisting installation crews as a “ground man” which would entail cranking the winch on the duct lift. Load, transport, unload and furnish experienced trade worker with materials, tools, equipment and supplies. Clean work area and restock supplies and materials as necessary. Assist in lifting, positioning and securing of materials and work pieces during installation. Perform minor maintenance or cleaning of journeyman’s tools and equipment when necessary. Perform other routine duties as directed by experienced tradesperson.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Follow specific directions; perform a variety of duties, which may often change. Work within standards. Repeat tasks of short duration according to a set procedure. Evaluate information using measurable standards . GED or High School graduate preferred. Understand English and follow directives.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to see well (either naturally or with correction. Must be able to hear, and speak clearly with professional standard grammar. Must use hands, fingers, arms and legs fully; kneel, crouch and crawl; climb and balance on ladders and scaffolds; climb stairs, reach overhead, push, pull, lift and stoop.
