This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to start a rewarding career in the electrical trade. The Apprentice Electrician will work under the supervision of experienced electricians, gaining hands-on experience in various electrical tasks while learning the fundamentals of electrical systems and safety protocols. Duties Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams to understand project requirements. Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to perform electrical work. Learn to operate testing equipment such as ohmmeters and multimeters to diagnose electrical issues. Follow National Electrical Code (NEC) guidelines to ensure compliance with safety standards. Collaborate with team members on construction sites, assisting with frame carpentry as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and materials are stored properly. Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to electrical work and safety practices. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Basic knowledge of electrical systems or prior experience in a construction environment is advantageous. Familiarity with blueprint reading is a plus. Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols. Willingness to learn from experienced electricians and take direction effectively. Good physical stamina; ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy materials, and work in various weather conditions. A valid driver’s license may be required for travel between job sites.
