$31.5K – $41.5K a year 2 hours ago Qualifications Schematics OSHA 10 High school diploma or GED Electrical experience Electrical systems 1 year Entry level Full Job Description We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Assistant with working knowledge of motor controls to support our electrical team in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical systems in an industrial or commercial setting, especially as they relate to motors, starters, and control panels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment
- Support the wiring, testing, and troubleshooting of motor control panels, VFDs, and starters
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documents
- Perform conduit bending, cable pulling, and wire termination under supervision
- Maintain tools, materials, and workspaces in a clean and organized manner
- Adhere to safety standards and company procedures at all times
- Participate in preventive maintenance tasks and inspections
- Report electrical issues or safety concerns to supervisors promptly
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1+ year of experience in electrical work; knowledge of motor control systems is required
- Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and schematics
- Basic understanding of electrical theory, including voltage, current, and resistance
- Familiarity with tools and equipment used in electrical installation and maintenance
- Willingness to learn, take direction, and work as part of a team
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in various environmental conditions
- OSHA 10 or other safety certifications are a plus
