Job Description
Marine Electrical apprentics will complete a program designed to give them maximum exposure to the complex electrical systrems aboard naval vessels. The apprentice will receive special training in various areas to learn fundamental skills and techniques. The apprentice is assigned to a ship to begin a coordinated work rotation involving Layout/installation, Hook up and Test to various shipboard systems. These include lighting, power generation and distribution, interior communication, armament, fire control and electronics. As experience and knowledge are gained, the student aids in the training of newer apprentices. Basic Qualifications Must be a high school graduate or have completed a GED.
