You want to be your own boss but want to learn from someone who’s already found a niche in the electrical trade and has already made most of the mistakes so that you don’t have to. You want your voice to be heard and taken seriously when making real decisions that actually affect the bottom line/ customer experience. You see yourself as becoming the steady handed guy that can find solutions in times of distress. You like working with your hands and mind. Eventually, after I’m confident you have the customer’s best interest in mind, can handle situations/ make calls before causing harm to a customer/ their house/ the steady hand electrical brand, you’d take over field operations and make real money while I work on sales/ marketing/ back end for a fee. Basically I’d be feeding you leads and you’d be handling the jobs on site. Who are you? Someone who is honest, capable, and has a good work ethic. Someone that is looking to learn entrepreneurship, true customer service, and the electrical trade. What’s the job? EV charger & other dedicated circuit residential installs. You’d help assess job sites, create estimates, pull wire, wire junction boxes, plan conduit runs, obtain materials after comparing prices and locations, test voltage etc. What’s the day to day like? It’s going to change but typically you’d start off meeting me on site at a job. As leads roll in we’ll take breaks and you’ll see how I do estimates for new potential customers. We’ll finish the current job (which we picked up materials for the day prior) and then go over what went well/ what didn’t and strategize for the next day. Then you’ll go home and I’ll pick up materials for the next job or vice versa. To be honest there are some days when there are 3-4 jobs and we’ll be scrambling and there will be some days where I’m across from you on a laptop trying to figure out new marketing techniques start-up style. That’s the fun of it though, that’s one of the reasons why I started this company. We’re really out here, really in the field, really perfecting what works, scrapping what doesn’t, and figuring out how to make it happen instead of pouting in the corner or blaming someone else for our problems.
