We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Project Manager/Estimator to join our team and ensure the optimal performance of our fleet and equipment.

Job Summary:

This dual-role position requires expertise in estimating project costs and managing construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil construction, including earthwork, utilities, paving, and site development, with a keen ability to balance project budgets, schedules, and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

Estimating Duties:

Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for civil construction projects, including material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor pricing. Analyze project plans, specifications, and contract documents to determine scope and pricing. Develop bid proposals and submit competitive bids within deadlines. Work closely with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to obtain pricing and negotiate costs. Identify potential risks and opportunities to optimize project profitability.

Project Management Duties:

Plan, coordinate, and oversee civil construction projects from pre-construction to completion. Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and quality control measures. Lead project teams, including field supervisors, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring adherence to project scope, timelines, and safety standards. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction. Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, resolve issues, and enforce safety regulations. Track project performance, report progress, and manage change orders as needed.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred) or equivalent work experience. Minimum 5+ years of experience in estimating and project management within the civil construction industry. Proficiency in estimating software (such as HCSS, Bluebeam, or similar) and project management tools. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry regulations. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites as needed.
