Position Overview:
We’re looking for a driven and self-starting Heavy Civil Estimator with 2-4 years of construction experience . In this role, you’ll work directly with our VP of Civil Construction , a leader with over 30 years in the industry who is passionate about coaching, mentoring, and developing talent. You’ll typically manage 1-2 bids at a time , aiming to submit one bid per week across a diverse range of project types.
What You’ll Do:
Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for heavy civil construction projects Perform quantity take-offs and scope reviews Interface with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure accurate pricing Collaborate with internal teams on bid strategy and execution Continuously learn from leadership and bring curiosity and initiative to your work Help develop and refine estimating systems and processes
What We’re Looking For:
2-4 years of experience in construction, preferably in a civil or estimating capacity Highly motivated self-starter with a strong desire to learn and grow Eager to ask questions and work collaboratively Excellent time management and organizational skills Familiarity with heavy civil scopes: earthwork, site utilities, grading, paving, etc. Experience with estimating tools such as HCSS, Bluebeam, or similar (preferred)
