This individual will be responsible for estimating, preparing, and submitting bid packages, as well as assisting with project management functions as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Review construction drawings and specifications to perform detailed quantity take-offs Develop project cost estimates and solicit subcontractor/vendor pricing Prepare and assemble professional bid packages for public and private sector projects Assist with value engineering, budget development, and project scheduling Support project execution and coordination during preconstruction and early construction phases Maintain organized records of all estimates and bid submissions
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in commercial or institutional vertical construction estimating Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, materials, and pricing Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and technical specifications Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar) Strong written and verbal communication skills Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
