Position responsibilities
- Analyze project blueprints and specifications to prepare accurate estimates for flooring projects
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and suppliers to gather necessary information
- Evaluate labor, material, and equipment costs to determine project budgets
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends and pricing for materials and labor
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met
Position essential job functions - Conduct quantity take-offs and cost estimates for flooring projects
- Prepare bid proposals and submit to clients within specified deadlines
- Review project progress and provide ongoing cost analysis
- Participate in project meetings to provide input on cost management
- Utilize estimating software to streamline the estimating process
Position skills - At least two years of experience in flooring estimating
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy
