Monroe, CT 06468 • Hybrid work Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction-remodeling estimating and management(roof, windows, bathroom, kitchen, siding, door, mechanical) with the ability to analyze project specifications and develop accurate cost estimates. This role requires proficiency in industry-standard software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid, as well as excellent negotiation skills to ensure competitive pricing. The Estimator will play a crucial role in supporting our construction projects from inception through completion. Duties Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates. Utilize Bluebeam and HeavyBid software for accurate take-offs and bid preparation. Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to gather necessary information for estimates. Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and gather data for accurate pricing. Develop detailed proposals that outline costs, timelines, and project deliverables. Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable terms. Monitor project budgets and costs throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to financial goals. Prepare reports on estimated versus actual costs for review by management. Requirements Experience in Cost control principles. Proficiency in Bluebeam, HeavyBid, or similar estimating software is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of construction management processes and contract negotiations. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate pricing assessments. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders on the construction site.
