Electrical Estimator/Project Manager Position Available In Lower Connecticut River Valley Planning Region, Connecticut

Electrical Estimator/Project Manager Global Tech Systems, LLC Portland, CT 06480 We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Estimator/Project Manager to join our team. This dual-role position is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for electrical projects and managing them through completion. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to lead projects from bidding to close-out.

Key Responsibilities:

Estimating Duties:

Review drawings, specifications, and project documents to prepare detailed cost estimates. Perform material take-offs and labor estimates using industry-standard software. Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes. Develop and submit complete bid packages on time. Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as required. Track and analyze historical data for continuous estimating improvements.

Project Management Duties:

Plan and oversee all phases of assigned electrical projects. Coordinate procurement of materials, tools, and equipment. Schedule and supervise field personnel and subcontractors. Maintain project budgets, track costs, and prepare change orders. Ensure work is completed according to code, safety regulations, and quality standards. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, engineers, and contractors. Provide regular project updates and reports to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

4+ years of experience in electrical estimating and/or project management. Strong knowledge of NEC, electrical systems, and construction practices. Proficiency with estimating software and project management tools. Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).

$90,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year
