We are currently seeking a motivated Electrical Estimator to support our estimating team by preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for a variety of electrical projects. Key Responsibilities:
Review and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project documents to determine accurate material and labor requirements. Perform quantity takeoffs for lighting, power, fire alarm, and other electrical systems using digital tools and estimation software. Estimate labor, material, and equipment costs based on current National Electrical Code (NEC) standards. Assist in preparing and submitting competitive and profitable bids for commercial, residential, and industrial projects. Analyze job costs, identify value engineering opportunities, and propose solutions to increase project profitability. Maintain and update cost databases to reflect current market trends and pricing. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and vendors to ensure accuracy and consistency throughout the bidding process.
Qualifications:
Valid Electrician’s License (Journeyman or equivalent preferred) 1-3 years of experience in electrical estimating or related field Strong understanding of NEC and local electrical codes Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and electrical schematics Familiarity with estimation software and digital takeoff tools (e.g., Accubid, PlanSwift, Bluebeam) Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
