Division 8 Estimator Position Available In Broward, Florida

Division 8 Estimator Lotspeich Co. of FL, Inc. 6351 NW 28th Way, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309 Lotspeich Co. of Florida, Inc . is looking for an experienced Commercial Door & Hardware Estimator to join our team. Salary is contingent on experience level. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of: KD and Masonry door frames Interior and exterior metal & wood doors Concealed and surface-mounted panic devices Closers, concealed and surface-mounted overhead stops All types of commercial locks and electric hardware

Estimator Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Analyzing required documents, blueprints, and project plans. Determining what factors of production will influence the cost of a service or product. Preparing material estimates and cost estimates for products or services. Creating project labor estimates. Developing and maintaining relationships with company vendors and contractors. Managing bids from vendors and contractors. Using bid data to prepare detailed cost analysis. Presenting prepared estimates to management and other stakeholders. Compiling and recording actual cost. Provide any value engineering suggestions (alternates or price breakouts). Send for vendor price quotes as necessary. Present completed bids and proposals on the established due dates to project managers. Travel to work sites may be required to establish existing conditions. Verbal or written communication with general contractor may be necessary to secure an accurate bid.

Estimator Skills and Qualifications:

Knowledge of OST, Quick Bid Software, Excel Spreadsheet software, and Word Processing software. Proficient in mathematics, statistics, and data analysis. Analytical skills and attention to detail. Report writing and strategic planning skills. Analyzing requirement data to develop material and cost estimates for large projects. Analytic tools such as spreadsheet and database managers. Read and interpret technical documents. Written communication and interpersonal skills.
