The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in construction estimating, with a strong ability to negotiate and manage contracts effectively. This role is critical in ensuring that our projects are accurately estimated and delivered on time and within budget. The Estimator will work closely with our estimating team, with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to develop comprehensive estimates that reflect the scope of work. Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects using Accubid software. Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates. Collaborate with project management teams to establish project budgets and timelines. Conduct site visits to assess construction site conditions and gather necessary information for accurate estimating. Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure the best pricing and terms. Review and analyze bids from subcontractors to ensure compliance with project specifications. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials prices, and construction techniques. Provide support during the bidding process by answering questions from contractors or clients regarding estimates. Experience Proven experience as a Estimator or similar role in the construction industry. Proficiency in Accubid software is required; familiarity with Bluebeam is a plus. Strong understanding of construction management principles and practices. Excellent negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to build relationships with clients and subcontractors. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data related to costs and pricing.
