We represent top manufacturers in the air distribution industry. Our products are promoted to engineers and owners through our engineering staff and sold to contractors through our experienced sales team. Position Overview The Estimating Manager will manage the daily activities of the estimating department, implement technical estimating standards and procedures, and oversee the work of the estimating team. This role includes reviewing and executing bids on multiple and/or more complex projects. The position is responsible for all aspects of the estimating and bid process, from reviewing plans and specifications to soliciting quotes from manufacturers. Key Responsibilities Develop cost estimates and coordinate proposals for assigned estimating projects Provide area-specific forecasts and report project status Develop estimating standards, protocols, and guidelines Manage the estimating process including bid coordination, estimator assignments, training, and bid submissions Develop and maintain estimating training programs for current and future products Serve as liaison between estimating team and sales team Work with peers (sales, engineering, accounting, and upper management) to coordinate customer requirements Revise estimates and implement required changes Monitor and ensure bid format meets customer standards Evaluate Customer Request for Bid documents Identify and learn customer requirements for bid purposes Coordinate bid inputs from all organizational departments Participate in pre- and post-bid meetings as required Review, provide feedback, and evaluate performance of Estimators Responsible for training and staffing of the estimating team Required Qualifications 5+ years estimating experience Ability to perform work accurately, completely, and in a timely manner Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to conduct effective presentations Proficiency in MS Office, including Outlook Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications, with emphasis on mechanical plans Proficiency in estimating software and required technology Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field 8+ years construction experience Benefits Health insurance – Variety of plans, including an option for 100% cost paid by the company Dental, life, and supplemental insurance products available Paid time off 401k
