Although not all inclusive, the successful candidate should at a minimum, possess the following skills: Proven experience in Drywall and Acoustical Ceiling construction estimating. Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and methods. Proficiency in using estimating software. Excellent analytical and mathematical skills. Strong working knowledge of OST, Quick Bid, Excel and Word Processing software. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

Other duties may be assigned:

Prepare and present comprehensive bids and proposals to a designated project manager. Read and understand blueprints, specifications, and contract documents. Color code drawings with erasable colored pencils as per wall types, soffits, ceilings etc. Prepare an accurate quantitative takeoff with OST (On Screen Takeoff) software. Transfer the drywall OST file to Quick Bid software to establish a base bid with materials and labor rates. Send for vendor price quotes as necessary. Provide any value engineering suggestions, alternates or price breakouts as required. Prepare an accurate quantitative takeoff of acoustical ceilings. Enter this takeoff on Excel templates to establish a base bid with material and labors rates. Send for vendor price quotes as necessary. Provide any value engineering suggestions, alternates or price breakouts as required. Prepare a detailed interior, acoustical ceiling and drywall. Present completed bids and proposal on established due date to project manager and be prepared to discuss if necessary. Travel to work site might be required to establish existing conditions. Verbal or written communications with general contractor can be required to secure an accurate bid.
