Job Description:
We are looking for a motivated Estimator to join our team and grow within the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in Civil construction estimating, be able to review, understand, and interpret Civil plans and documents ranging from conceptual, progress, and complete permit sets in order to provide a full scope detailed estimate for prospective clients in the private, public, commercial, and industrial sectors.
Experience and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction related field, or equivalent industry experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Civil/Sitework estimating including but not limited to earthwork, mass excavation, drainage, sewer, water, grading, etc.
- Be able to prepare a complete estimate, including labor, equipment, and material costs
- Be able to read and understand Civil construction plans
- Understanding of Civil construction means and methods
- Able to perform detailed quantity take-offs
- Takeoff Software experience with AGTEK and
BLUEBEAM
is preferred
- Estimating Software experience with BID2WIN is preferred
- Be able to solicit vendors, suppliers, and contractors for pricing and confirm scope
- Experience with Excel and Windows
- Have excellent written and communication skills
- Have a positive attitude, work well in a team environment, and be able to meet deadlines
