Estimator DSK Construction Corp Fort Lauderdale, FL 33314 Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction estimating and project management, with the ability to analyze project specifications, prepare accurate cost estimates, and negotiate contracts effectively. This role is crucial in ensuring that our projects are completed within budget while maintaining high-quality standards. Responsibilities Analyze project plans and specifications to prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects. Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to create precise bid proposals. Collaborate with project managers to develop budgets and ensure cost control throughout the project lifecycle. Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing. Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather necessary information for accurate estimates. Prepare detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders outlining project costs and financial forecasts. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and pricing to ensure competitive bidding. Requirements Proven experience in construction estimating, with a strong understanding of construction management principles. Proficiency in using estimating software, particularly HeavyBid and Bluebeam. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with subcontractors and clients. Knowledge of cost control measures and project management techniques. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications accurately. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in estimates. Previous experience working on construction sites is preferred but not mandatory.
