Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:

Analyze construction documents including drawings, specifications, and addenda to prepare complete estimates Quantify material and labor needs based on project plans Solicit, review, and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing Develop and submit competitive bid packages and proposals Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients throughout preconstruction Maintain cost databases, historical pricing data, and current market trends Conduct site visits as needed to assess jobsite conditions or logistics Evaluate potential cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options Assist in post-bid negotiations and scope reviews Provide takeoffs and support for internal budgeting and forecasting Ensure all estimates are accurate, complete, and aligned with company goals

Qualifications:

3+ years of experience as a construction estimator, preferably with commercial general contractor Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, and materials Proficient in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, ProEst, Sage Estimating, or similar) Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical documents, and architectural plans Skilled in quantity takeoffs, cost analysis, and bid strategy Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Collaborative and proactive approach to problem-solving Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred Valid driver’s license required
