A leading construction company specializing in foundations, masonry, and rough carpentry is seeking an experienced Estimator with a strong background in residential construction in Florida. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing quantity surveys and proposals primarily for national and regional homebuilders, custom builders, and light commercial contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct site visits and attend pre-proposal meetings as needed Prepare RFIs and clarify project scopes Analyze project constructability and identify cost-saving opportunities Collaborate with internal teams and clients to align on project goals and strategy Track bid status and communicate with prospective clients Create and manage bid schedules Utilize PlanSwift and proprietary estimating software for takeoffs and budgeting Draft proposals and support preliminary project scheduling

Requirements:

Bachelor s degree preferred but not required 5 10 years of experience in construction or estimating Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to manage multiple priorities with urgency Proficiency in technical writing and communication Experience with PlanSwift or similar onscreen estimating tools
