We are seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Estimator with experience in plumbing to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating project costs and providing valuable insights during the bidding process, ensuring competitiveness and profitability of our mechanical projects. Key Responsibilities Review project plans and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates for mechanical systems, with a focus on plumbing work
Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to gather necessary information for estimates
Analyze labor, material, and overhead costs to develop comprehensive project estimates
Prepare and submit detailed proposals and estimates to clients in a timely manner
Maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractors to obtain pricing information and ensure accuracy in estimates
Conduct site visits to assess the scope of work and identify potential challenges that may impact costs
Assist in the development of project budgets and financial reports
Support the sales team in bid submissions and presentations Qualifications 3+ years mechanical estimating experience
Experience specific to plumbing & piping
Knowledge of refrigeration, piping, steam, condensate, boilers, chillers & pumps
Proficiency with OST Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in cost estimation and budget management
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy in estimates Benefits $39-43/ hour
