Purpose:
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Estimator & Sales Representative to join our Property Maintenance team. In this role, you will be key in driving sales growth by identifying new business opportunities, fostering relationships with existing clients, and delivering outstanding customer service within Multi-Family Communities. Your responsibilities will include reviewing proposal specifications, client requests, drawings, and other relevant information to generate detailed scopes of work in a competitive environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience). This Individual should have advanced knowledge of renovation processes and general building construction experience. 5 7 Years in a Construction Estimator/Sales role Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Familiarity with sales and marketing principles. Understanding of various construction/renovation processes and knowledge of building codes. Proficiency in reviewing building plans and construction documents. Ability to work collaboratively in a teamoriented environment. A proactive and positive attitude with a willingness to learn. Excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:
Assist in building and maintaining relationships with existing clients while actively seeking new business opportunities in the construction market. Maintains regular contact with all assigned project clients, including development of personal relationships, and strives to keep client satisfaction at high levels. Participate in site visits to gain project knowledge Review proposed specifications and drawings to generate detailed scopes of work. Work with internal departments and Project Managers to assess materials, labor, and equipment needs. Estimate the actual job costs involved for proposal preparation per client specifications. Responsible for developing systems & techniques to improve proposal accuracy and project delivery. Solicit and maintain Subcontractor quotes and files. Maintain working professional relationships with Subcontractors. Conduct followup calls and emails with clients to ensure satisfaction, address inquiries, and resolve any issues. Support the identification of industry trends, competitor analysis, and potential market opportunities to enhance sales strategies. Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote the company and build professional relationships.
General Conditions and Duties:
Other duties as assigned. Some tasks may involve frequent bending, moving, lifting, and carrying material weighing up to 50 pounds; standing up to eight hours each day or prolonged sitting for long hours; working in all weather conditions; exposure to high noise levels and wearing hearing protection.
Travel Requirement:
The Estimator & Sales Representative will be required to meet with local and out-of-town existing clients and potential clients.
