Civil Construction Estimator Jacksonville Site Work & Underground Utilities Jacksonville, FL 32210 Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Civil Estimator with a strong background in sitework and underground utilities to support our estimating department. The ideal candidate will be proficient in preparing accurate and competitive bids using Oman/ProEstimate and have a keen eye for detail when performing quantity takeoffs and pricing civil construction projects. Duties Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs for site development, earthwork, utilities, and paving projects. Develop complete, competitive bid proposals based on project plans, specifications, and client requirements. Utilize Oman/ProEstimate software to build and manage estimates. Review plans, addenda, and specifications to identify scope, project requirements, and potential risks. Solicit, review, and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes for inclusion in estimates. Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed to evaluate site conditions and project logistics. Work closely with project managers, field operations, and clients to ensure project goals and expectations are met. Maintain organized records of estimates, takeoffs, and project documents. Qualifications 3-5 years of civil construction estimating experience required. Proficiency in Oman/ProEstimate software is a must. Strong knowledge of civil construction practices, including earthwork, underground utilities, and sitework. Ability to read and interpret civil drawings, plans, and specifications. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members, vendors, and clients.
