Job Description
Overview We are seeking a skilled Estimator and Purchaser to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction estimating, demonstrating expertise in various aspects of purchasing construction processes. This role is essential for ensuring that projects are bid out on time and to the highest quality standards. The Estimator will work closely with project managers, pre-construction, designers, and subcontractors, to facilitate effective communication and coordination throughout the construction lifecycle. Responsibilities Send our Bids to Subcontractors Utilize software tools such as CoConstruct for project management and estimating tasks. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure compliance with design specifications and contract requirements. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement solutions promptly. Prepare detailed construction estimates and proposals based on project plans and specifications. Maintain clear communication with all stakeholders, providing updates on project status and addressing any concerns that arise. Ensure that all safety protocols are followed on the construction site to promote a safe working environment. Qualifications Proven experience in construction or a related field is preferred. Strong knowledge of construction estimating practices and techniques. Familiarity with project management software such as CoConstruct is advantageous. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients. Ability to read blueprints, contracts, and technical documents accurately. A proactive approach to problem-solving with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
