As we continue to grow, we are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Project Estimator to join our expanding team. Position Overview As a Project Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates, reviewing plans, communicating with vendors, and working closely with internal teams. Your expertise will directly contribute to project success and client satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Analyze architectural plans, field conditions, and project specs to generate material take-offs Prepare accurate estimates and pricing for impact windows, doors, and storefront systems Work closely with sales, permitting, and project management teams to ensure complete scope alignment Communicate with manufacturers for pricing, lead times, and technical specifications Draft formal proposals, bids, and change orders Track and follow up on submitted quotes and client approvals Keep organized records of pricing, scopes, and revisions Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience in estimating within the construction or fenestration industry (impact windows/doors strongly preferred) Must have basic knowledge of how to read architectural and structural plans Must have experience with quoting software from one or more major manufacturers, such as PGT, ES Windows, Mr. Glass, Eastern Architectural Systems (EAS), Simonton, Pella, CWS, or SoftLite Proficient with take-off tools, Excel, and estimating platforms Highly organized with strong attention to detail Excellent communication and follow-up skills Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus Why Join Guardian Shield?
