Cabinetry Estimator Assistant 4.0 4.0 out of 5 stars 6293 Thomas Road, Fort Myers, FL 33912 Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Cabinetry & Millwork Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the construction process by providing accurate cost estimates for projects. This position requires a strong understanding of construction management, project management, and cost control, as well as the ability to negotiate and build relationships with clients and subcontractors. Duties Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and other documents. Collaborate with project managers and other team members to gather necessary information for accurate pricing. Utilize estimating software such as Bluebeam and Excel to create comprehensive estimates. Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and gather relevant data for estimating purposes. Negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive bids. Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to maintain budgetary controls. Provide support during the bidding process, including preparing bid packages and responding to inquiries from potential bidders. Assist in developing project schedules and timelines in coordination with project management teams. Will also be responsible for answering the phone / front desk duties as needed. Qualifications Proven experience in cabinetry estimating or a related field is encouraged. Strong knowledge of cabinetry management principles and practices. Familiarity with contract negotiation processes and techniques. Proficiency in using estimating software, particularly Bluebeam and Excel, is highly desirable. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in estimates. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with team members and clients. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
