The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in construction management and estimating, with a proven ability to analyze project specifications and develop accurate cost estimates. This role is crucial in ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget while maintaining high standards of quality. Duties Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare detailed cost estimates. Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid for efficient estimating processes. Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to gather necessary information for accurate estimates. Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable terms. Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to budget constraints. Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather data for estimating purposes. Prepare comprehensive reports detailing estimates, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs. Assist in the development of project schedules and timelines in coordination with project management. Qualifications Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field is required. Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices. Proficiency in using estimating software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid is preferred. Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers. Familiarity with cost control measures and project management methodologies.
